The event, scheduled for May 22, includes a White House tour for the top 25 holders and was promoted with an AI-generated portrait of the former president. The coin briefly hit $16 before stabilizing NEAR $13.

Ethics watchdogs criticized the move as blurring political and financial boundaries, while crypto traders speculated about broader market implications. Despite the rally, TRUMP remains down more than 80% from its peak, underscoring the volatility of politically-linked meme assets.
